This court takes the request at the clerk's window, by mail or through the court's online portal. Deadline: received by the court on or before the appearance date on the citation; mailed requests go certified mail, return receipt requested, postmarked by the answer date.

You have 90 days to finish the course and turn in the court copy of your certificate, your certified DPS driving record (most courts want the Type 3A) and the signed affidavit. The court's page does not say how to file them, so ask the clerk when you are approved.
The online request (Apply for Driver Safety Course) runs through the Find My Case tool; case documents are also viewable on the county's Odyssey portal. The request form is signed but unsworn; the page never mentions a notary. At completion you present the uniform certificate, your DPS driving record showing no course in the 12 months before the offense, and an affidavit that you were not taking a course in another state; the page does not name the record type or say how to file the certificate, so ask your precinct.
